MIRC is proud to join the National Partnership For New Americans (NPNA) on this national day of action as we stand united to protect citizenship and support community members on their journey to naturalization. Resilient Coders is a non-profit organization recruiting exceptional talent and training them for high-growth careers as software engineers. The event begins at 5pm at Halo at Thompson’s Point, 20 Van Aken Way. The event will highlight staff and volunteers of cultural food and land focused projects — including Somali Bantu Community Association, Khmer Maine, In Her Presence, Ummah Enterprises, and Presente! Maine — exploring the collaborative efforts between immigrant and Indigenous groups focused on promoting cultural exchange and addressing food insecurity. During our reception, we will have the pleasure of special guests Keyko Torres of Presente! Maine as our event emcee, Dr. Marcelle Medford as our inspiring Keynote Speaker. The event will feature diverse performances, a panel, and cuisines from the immigrant-owned catering.
